April 25th, 2011  I never thought I’d be a fan of Birkenstocks. Well… I am. Came across the Gizeh while on vacation, and bought my first pair in silver. They were nothing like the “Jerusalem cruiser” sandal that I had come to associate with Birkenstock. You know, the type of sandals you would see at a Grateful Dead concert. While I can appreciate the music, I’m not exactly a Dead-head. This t-strap was more feminine, and appeared oddly fashion forward for a Birkenstock. I was shocked! 
Default summer shoe for the dreadlocks and Hacky Sack crowd, this homely little German sandal with the chunky foot bed appeals equally to campus nerds, Lilith Fair types and even SoCal hipsters, the most fanatical of fashion’s early adopters.
The Summer 2011 collection has me smiling. Available in a rainbow of colors, they all call to me. Birkenstock is appealing to a whole new crowd now.

April 14th, 2011  From palest lavender to deepest aubergine, the color purple is everywhere this spring. And it’s no wonder; purple is wonderfully versatile. Equally at home at an afternoon tea or a black-tie event, purple can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood.
Love these Diane Von Furstenberg Lush sandals, they look cute and comfortable! I’d buy them in every color. Actually, I’m off to purchase another pair, which will be my third!

February 16th, 2011  Having been an avid fan of FitFlops since they launched back in 2007, I have always vaguely been in mourning from September onwards when I had to revert to a mixture of other footwear. I’ve now road-tested a pair of the FitFlop Supertone sneakers. And there will be no going back. 
As you may know, I am a shoe lover by nature and just happened to stumble upon these will searching for some new workout shoes. I wanted a pair that could be versatile and glory be: I found them! Style-wise the Supertone sneakers are the closest thing to a non-toning shoe I’ve seen on the market. They look very much like Converse sneakers, which I also love.
